Education in Data Science with R / Python and melda.io

Running a successful data science project requires proper background in programming, statistics as well as strong analytical and business know-how. Since the data science concept is fairly new in Turkey, we decided to give a series of seminars and trainings in various Turkish universities. Together we discussed topics related with cloud technologies, data science. We also had hands-on lab exercises to initiate attendees with R and python. Students and researchers from Yıldız Teknik University, İstanbul Teknik University and İstanbul University attended this 3-hours hands-on training. Together we imported and visualized geospatial data in R.

Istanbul Ticaret University

Subject: Financial data analysis with R.

In Istanbul Ticaret University we met fellow researchers and students from economics, finance and social science backgrounds. Together we reviewed the latest R tools in data analysis and practiced hands-on exercises on data import and visualization in R.

Bahçeşehir University

Subject: Challenges in building a modern data cloud platform.
